Jaclyn Trussell

Jaclyn Trussell became the principal of R.B. Godley Elementary School in 2025.

Trussell previously served as assistant principal at Godley Middle School beginning in 2021 after completing an administrative internship while teaching during the previous school year. 

Starting her teaching career in 2010, Trussell was a business and technology educator for grades 7-12 at Frenship High School, Grapevine High School, Rice High School and Highland Park Middle School before coming to Godley.

The principal holds a bachelor’s of business administration from Midwestern State University and a master’s degree in learning technologies from the University of North Texas. 

Trussell completed a principal educator preparation program through Lamar University.  She received the CTE Teaching Award of Excellence and was honored as a rookie business teacher of the year.  While in Highland Park, she was nominated for campus teacher of the year.
